Which type of electric fireplace suits you?
Freestanding electric fireplace
A freestanding electric fireplace stands on its own and can be installed immediately without any construction work. Ideal for rental properties or for those who do not want to make a hole in the wall. Available in various styles, from rustic to modern. You simply place it in the desired location and plug it into the socket.
Built-in electric fireplace
A built-in electric fireplace is installed in a wall niche or cabinet for a fully integrated look. The result is a sleek, modern fireplace that blends seamlessly into the interior. Available in standard sizes for use in an existing niche or as part of a new wall cabinet.
Electric fireplace with heating
Models with integrated heating combine the flame effect with a heating element. Ideal as a mood heater in the living room: the fireplace heats the immediate surroundings while the flames provide the atmosphere. Power typically 750 to 2,000 watts. Suitable as supplementary heating alongside central heating.
Electric fake fireplace
Do you want the look of a classic fireplace without any renovations? An electric faux fireplace has the appearance of a traditional fireplace with a mantelpiece and is available immediately as a complete piece of furniture. Install, connect, enjoy.
How realistic are the flames?
Modern electric fireplaces use LED technology in combination with a rotating reflector or water vapor effect to simulate lifelike flames. The color and intensity of the flames are adjustable via the remote control on most models. Some premium models use water vapor to create a 3D flame effect that is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. The flame effect consumes hardly any power: typically 5 to 20 watts, comparable to an energy-saving light bulb.
Electric fireplace with or without heating?
Many buyers choose an electric fireplace purely for the ambiance and only switch on the heating in cold weather. This is entirely possible with all models featuring a heating function: the flames and heating can always be operated independently of each other. If you wish to use the fireplace solely for ambiance, choose a model without heating. This is generally cheaper to purchase and consumes almost no electricity. If you also require heating, choose a model with at least 1,000 watts for effective supplementary heating of an average living room.

Frequently asked questions about electric fireplaces
Is an electric fireplace safe for children?
Yes. Unlike a real fireplace, there is no open flame in an electric fireplace. The exterior of the unit barely gets warm on models without heating. On models with heating, the air outlet gets warm, but the decorative front generally remains cool to the touch. Always check the product specifications for the maximum surface temperature. All models in our range are CE certified and equipped with overheating protection.
Does an electric fireplace require a chimney flue?
No. An electric fireplace produces no combustion gases, no smoke, and no soot. Therefore, no chimney flue or exhaust is required. This makes an electric fireplace suitable for any type of home, including apartments, rental properties, and new-build homes without a chimney.
How much electricity does an electric fireplace consume?
The flame effect alone consumes only 5 to 20 watts, comparable to an LED lamp. With the heating switched on, the appliance consumes the full electrical power of 750 to 2,000 watts depending on the model and setting. At an electricity rate of €0.30 per kWh, a 1,500-watt decorative fireplace with heating costs approximately €0.45 per hour. If you use only the flames without heating, the consumption is negligible.
Can I also use an electric fireplace in the bedroom or bathroom?
Freestanding models are primarily intended for the living room or dining room. Special waterproof models are required for the bathroom, but electric fireplaces are generally not offered in an IP-certified bathroom variant. For atmospheric bathroom heating, we refer you to our infrared mirrors with LED lighting or our electric towel radiators.
What is the difference between a model with water vapor and a model with an LED reflector?
LED reflector models simulate flames using a rotating mirror that reflects light from LEDs. The effect is convincing but two-dimensional. Water vapor models blow up a fine mist that is illuminated by LEDs, creating a three-dimensional and particularly realistic flame effect. Water vapor models require regular refilling of the water reservoir and more maintenance than LED reflector models. Water models are generally more expensive to purchase but more impressive in effect.
