Buy an infrared mirror: warm, clear, and never fogged up again
An infrared mirror combines two bathroom functions in one stylish product: room heating via infrared radiation and a fog-free mirror that never fogs up, even after a hot shower. The mirror heats itself and the immediate surroundings via an ultra-thin heating element behind the mirror glass. At Warmteshop, you will find infrared mirrors from Ecaros and Alkari in sizes ranging from 60x60 cm to 60x150 cm, with and without LED lighting, and with or without Wi-Fi control. Always free shipping and personal advice in our 32 stores in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Which type of infrared mirror suits you?
Infrared mirror without lighting
The simplest version: a high-gloss mirror with an infrared heating element and anti-fog function. Ideal if you already have sufficient lighting in the bathroom and are simply looking for a heated, condensation-free mirror. Available in sizes from 60x60 to 60x120 cm. View our mirror heating collection.
Infrared mirror with LED lighting
Combines infrared heating, anti-fog, and atmospheric LED backlighting in a single panel. The lighting and heating can be operated independently of each other via a double switch. Ideal for bathrooms without separate lighting above the mirror. Available in sizes from 60x60 to 60x150 cm. View our infrared mirrors with LED.
Smart infrared mirror with WiFi
The most complete version: LED lighting, infrared heating, anti-fog, and Wi-Fi control via an app on your smartphone. Set a heating schedule so the bathroom is already warm before you use it. Remotely controllable, even outside the home network. View our smart infrared mirrors.
Capacity and size selection
For an infrared mirror, the required heat output is 80 watts per m³ of room volume, which is higher than for a standard infrared panel (35 watts per m³). This is because a mirror has a smaller heating surface per watt. For a bathroom of 6 m² with a ceiling of 2.5 meters (15 m³), you need approximately 1,200 watts. In that case, it is preferable to choose a larger model or combine the mirror with a second heating element, such as an electric towel radiator.
Choose the size based on the available wall space above or next to the washbasin. Common dimensions are:
- 60x60 cm: 200 to 320 watts, suitable as supplementary heating in small bathrooms
- 60x80 cm: 250 to 450 watts, most popular size for bathrooms up to 6 m²
- 60x100 cm: 350 to 580 watts, ideal for medium-sized bathrooms
- 60x120 cm: 500 to 700 watts, suitable as primary heating in bathrooms up to 9 m²
- 60x150 cm: up to 1,000 watts, for larger bathrooms or as the sole heat source
IP54: suitable for the entire bathroom
All infrared mirrors in our range feature IP54 protection. This means they are dustproof and resistant to heavy rain, allowing them to be installed in Zone 1 of the bathroom, directly above the bath or shower. Consult our waterproof panels for a complete overview of IP-certified products.
Combining an infrared mirror with other bathroom heating
An infrared mirror works best in combination with a second heating element for larger bathrooms. Warmteshop offers complete sets for this purpose. Combine the mirror with an electric towel radiator for warm towels and extra space heating, or with an infrared panel on the ceiling for optimal heat distribution. Frequently asked questions about infrared mirrors
How does an infrared mirror prevent condensation?
The heating element behind the mirror glass heats the mirror surface to a temperature above the dew point. As a result, water vapor from the bathroom air does not condense on the glass but evaporates immediately. The effect occurs as soon as the element is active and lasts as long as the heating is on. For optimal results, switch on the mirror 5 to 10 minutes before showering via the timer or app.
Can I install an infrared mirror myself?
Yes. The mirror comes with an invisible wall bracket and mounting hardware. You screw the bracket in place at the desired height, hang the mirror on it, and plug it into the socket. For an installation without a visible cord, Warmteshop recommends a certified electrician. Please note the IP zones in the bathroom: when installed in zone 1 (directly above a bath or shower), a permanent connection via a qualified electrician is mandatory.
What is the difference between an infrared mirror with and without LED?
A mirror without LED lighting features only a heating element and an anti-fog function. A model with LED has additional ambient lighting around or behind the mirror, which can be operated independently of the heating via a double switch. LED models are more suitable as a primary light source above the washbasin. In terms of heating performance, both types are equivalent at the same power output.
How long does it take for an infrared mirror to emit heat?
An infrared mirror emits palpable heat in the immediate surroundings after just 5 to 10 minutes. The anti-fog effect on the mirror surface occurs more quickly, usually within 2 to 3 minutes after switching on. Thanks to the programmable timer in WiFi models, you can have the mirror heat up automatically before entering the bathroom.
What size infrared mirror do I need for my bathroom?
Calculate the volume of your bathroom (length x width x ceiling height) and multiply this by 80 watts. A bathroom of 8 m² with a ceiling of 2.5 meters has a volume of 20 m³, which amounts to a required heating capacity of 1,600 watts. In that case, combine a 60x120 cm infrared mirror (700W) with a towel radiator or an additional panel. For supplementary heating in an already heated bathroom, a smaller 60x80 cm model will suffice. Our advisors will be happy to assist you with the calculation.
