LED infrared panels
LED infrared panels offer a smart combination of efficient heating and integrated lighting. Ideal for spaces where you want both targeted heating and functional or ambient lighting. Think of a bathroom without a ceiling light, a hallway without a radiator, or a workspace where you can't fit extra lighting.
What makes this type of panel unique? Its dual functionality. You essentially get two products: a powerful IR-C heater and an LED fixture, all integrated into a single, sleek panel. While standard infrared panels only provide heating, an LED infrared panel adds a second function, without any additional installation or wall sockets.
How exactly does an LED infrared panel work?
Just like our glass infrared panels, the base consists of a heating surface with IR-C technology (long-wave infrared). This radiation heats objects, walls, and people instead of the air.
The heat output is immediately noticeable and constant, without air circulation or dust movement. This is precisely why these panels are popular with people with asthma or allergies.
The front features an integrated LED strip. This operates completely independently of the heating and is often infinitely dimmable. Depending on the model, you can adjust the color temperature yourself (for example, from 2700K warm light to 4000K neutral white), which is practical in functional spaces like a bathroom or home office.
Smart features included
Most Warmteshop LED infrared panels are equipped with a digital thermostat on the side or come with a remote control. Models like the Termofol TF-SP800 feature an adjustable timer, temperature control for different time periods, and a memory function in case of a power outage.
Also handy: LED and heating can be controlled separately. Just want light? No problem. Heating without lighting? Just as easy.
Models like the TF-LG400 also feature mirrored glass, allowing you to instantly combine three functions: heating, lighting, and mirroring. Perfect for bathrooms with limited wall space or limited electrical outlets.
What is the difference with other infrared panels?
An LED infrared panel is not a standard variant with an extra lamp.
Unlike a mirror panel with backlight, for example, an LED infrared panel offers functional lighting with a higher light output (often 8 to 12W LED), which is dimmable and adjustable.
Compared to standard ceiling lights, you save space and power because both functions are managed through a single fixture and a single power point. This significantly reduces wiring and installation time for renovations or new construction.
In addition, LED infrared panels are relatively energy-efficient. A 400W panel consumes approximately 0.4 kWh per hour under normal use. Combined with good insulation and a smart thermostat, this makes it an economical alternative to convection heating.
Frequently asked questions about LED infrared panels
How much light does an LED infrared panel give?
This varies by model. Most panels emit between 600 and 1200 lumens, comparable to a standard ceiling light. Most models have adjustable brightness.
Can I use the panel in the bathroom?
Yes, provided you choose a panel with at least IP44 protection. This makes it splash-proof. Consider models like the TF-LG400 or TF-SP800.
What do I need for installation?
Most models are plug-and-play: you simply hang them with the included bracket and plug them into a wall socket. Prefer a more secure connection to the wall? Then we recommend contacting an installer.
Can the LED lighting be controlled separately?
Yes. Both the LED and the heating can be controlled separately, using a remote control or wall thermostat (depending on the model).
What is the lifespan of LED infrared panels?
On average, a high-quality infrared panel lasts 25-30 years. The LED components often have a lifespan of over 50,000 hours.
Can I combine LED infrared panels with other types?
Absolutely. Many customers combine an LED panel in the bathroom with glass panels in the living room or infrared mirrors in the hallway.
